The wood stand/surround makes it look real classy, but I think the black bin liner really looks bad. Can you stretch it out more so theres no folds? I know the background from local fish shop is expensive, but there's lots of alternatives like black card from the stationary shop. I know again it'll cost a few quid, but it will last your forever and will make your tank look much better.

get some big sheets of paper and black paint from b and q. thats what i did and you get loads from the money

only problem is if you want to change your mind you have to make the time and effort to scrape the paint without scratching the tank
