Thankyou......Unfortunately im not allowed to sell fry anymore, fishkeeping and breeding is a hobby for us but a local fish shop got a little jealous for some reason and reported us to the local council, we have now got to get a pet shop license......we cant even exchange fish for food at our lfs.....BUT.... we now pass on fry at auctions.

How petty can some people be?

I'd buy from someone breeding with a setup at home anyday of the week over any LFS.

Home bred fish get much better care and attention then these big old fish farm importer/exporters.

Maybe you should gift people fish for donations over a certain amount

I totally agree, i would rather see where i am buying my fish from and know their history but, from what i have seen so far, the local council would rather see them being flushed than sold on to a good home.....the mind boggles

This is totally true, lfs's sell their fish to make a profit, hobbyists sell on their fish to make more room and recompensate their HOBBY.
