Default Rio 300 (48x24x20)

I've taken the day off work to setup a Rio 300 (48x24x20) that I inherited off off fryboy when he upgraded to his monster tank.

Going for the industrial look stand (breeze blocks and kitchen surface type wood that I found lurking about outside a neighbors house after they had their kitchen refitted.)

Will keep you guys updated and post pic's later on

love a project McFarlane, love it!

What do you think of the scratches? Are you going to have it "back to front" like i did? It's not too bad that way.

moral of the story is dont let friends (even good friends) collect tanks on your behalf. I paid about £120 for that tank, a good fish-keeping buddy of mine lived near the owner and volunteered to pick it up for me (i paid him a small amount)

I said "take it, as long as not a lot of sctraches, especially big scratches"

Filled it up with water, next day i noticed it was scratched to ****, had to empty it and turn it around, was a pain to say the least.

All my tanks bar none have come from second hand sites/boot fairs/ local paper/friends

The scratches give the tanks character!

Nice bit of kitchen work surface I manage to get hold of (Cost: Nil)

A borrowed saw from a neighbor (Cost: 4 pack of Guinness for Paddy)

Other side of my bedroom. (Cost of 6fter=100 quid) cost of 3 fter on drawers= 15 quid... cost of mini tank 5 quid..

Excuse the mess but work in progress. That "fish room" also doubles as my bedroom and office hahaha
