Cheap Alternative insulation...
Ok I've been scouring all sorts of places including the internet for cheap insulation.
Norway has a much much colder climate then ours and most of their houses are built from wood... For insulation currently they are mainly using this: "Warmcel cellulose" which is basically re-cycled fire-retardant paper.
Warmcel Cellulose Natural Home Insulation...
It can be used as a full natural home insulation product or to top up existing natural home insulation. It is installed in over 1 million homes and provides U values way beyond Building Regulations requirements. When Warmcel is laid in a roof space it works by providing a complete seal over the loft space, eliminating gaps, cracks or other cold bridges. This high level of airtightness prevents air filtration and thermal convection currents. This gives it a high thermal performance of 0.035W/mK in lofts, and 0.036 W/mK in walls.
Check the link, it's as cheap as chips and sounds good.
Anyone think it would/wouldn't work? Please let me know your thoughts...

looks good peter, but where are you going to be using it ,are you going to build your fishhouse with a cavity wall ,so you tip it down there or is it just for the roof ?

grandad the plan would be to make stud partitioned walls, so basically wood frame, one sheet of ply on 1 side, that gear in the middle then another sheet of ply on the other side.
thats just an idea, haven't decided definite yes or no yet.. (not sure if it would work..)

wouldn't thick loft insulation be easier and cheaper and utilize some news papers as well( if they keep tramps warm they will do the same for your fish house as long as they don't get wet).

Dont forget to put in your cables and plumbing b4 using this stuff or there might be an awful lot of foul language coming from that fish house
