Default Help!!

Can anyone help me, i have a 104 fluval filter which i just bought a new seal for, i put the filter on and siphon into the inlet tube and it just pisses out water around where the lid handles are.

can anyone give me some advice, or is it shotgun time for the filter?

thanks

try taking the media boxes back out and realign them, if they are out a bit the lid does not make a good seal ( its happened to me more than once ) hope thats your problem.

I will have to let you know a bit later grandad, today is my day off and i decided to make it my fish day.

I have emptied the 30 gal and am slowly raising the salt levels and have read that i will need to raise it by 2 sg per week.

i am also battling to keep the 80 gallon clean due to it being in direct sunlight all day. thanks for the tip and i will get round to the filter once i have finished the salt tank.
