Default How do you fix film to back of tank?

Ok, forgive me if I`m bein a bit dim here!!!,
I dont like seein the blank wall through the back of my setup, I want to put a plain colour film on the back glass of the tank, but I`ve just fixed it at one end and pulled it taught and just sellotaped it. The problem with that is, its not sitting flat on the glass, so the colour disappears and it just looks black, how do you get it to stick all the way along the length of the glass?
Ps, another prob is access now, only have 2" space behind tank, as its up against the wall.
Darn it! wish i`d thought of this at time of setup!!

i use sellotape before tank is set up

i think you can wet it with a little washing up liquid and sqweegy it out to remove all the air bubbles!( dont hold me to this as i have not tryed it myself)

anything you do is going to be difficult being close to the wall ......i have white wallpaper on the back of my tank ....looks wonderfull

Thanks Rob,
Thought it was goin to be a tricky one, should have done it when tank was empty, ah well! I just thought it was worth a punt putting a thread on incase anyone had any bright ideas, I may try what you said and lash together some sort of squeegy on the end of a bit of timber, and see what happens!!!

i use black out curtain material on mine, just stick it to the top and let it hang down, seems to be work in all my tanks (except the one that already had backing paper on)

yeh i;ve been using black towels recently weighted with actual small weights st top of tank, i've given up with plastic backings, i can then never get them quite right and bin liners are too grey for me (they always seem to give of a grey and crinkly sheen)
