I think most people would rather play on an Xbox than look at fish without enough swimming space.

You do realize the tank is 6x4x2.5 right?

What are you saying these fish shouldn't be kept in captivity at all?

I'd say space per fish there, it's a lot less crowded then most peoples community tanks etc

There's no way that is big enough for a redtail catfish, they can reach 3' easy; half the length of that tank, only 1' smaller than the width and larger than the tank height. That's in no way saying fish shouldn't be kept in captivity and if I did believe that I'd surely be a hypocrite. When it comes to fish that large I think anything short of a tropical pond or a massive public aquarium just isn't big enough.

I agree with Rob. That tank is far too small for that fish. As he said, they get to 3ft easy but can go up to 5ft/6ft in which it would need a tank over double that size. I do feel that the Redtailed Cat is better left in the wild. Only a very small minority of people have the size tanks/ponds they need, so when they get bigger they go from home to home, and eventually living in a tank far too small for them.

But getting back on topic, that tank is quite big . Wonder how much he would tank for it.

There was also someone selling a nice 8x3x2 with stand and sump for the bargain of £250.

Well I wasn't talking about in the future. I meant as his tank is now I wouldn't say that there's any issue with space for the fish. They each have loads of room.

Fair do's if they get 3ft then yeah who could really accommodate such a beast.

But yeah amazing tank! It's on ebay with no bids but then it's only just been listed. Will watch it and see how it goes.

8x3x2 for 250 is cheap as chips too though, someones gonna get a bargain
