BNcatfish chums
Hi everyone,
Would like to get some chums for my lonesome bncat, whats the best combo? two males one female, or one male two females? I have male already. Should they breed, i know the male will guard the eggs, but is it likely the other community fish will scoff eggs like they do with my Lake Kutuba rainbows that seem to always be at it!

One male and two females is better, as the males can fight. They will usually spawn under bogwood or something similar like a plant pot cave. The eggs are usually quite well hidden and well guarded, but when the fry start to leave the nest they will probably be eaten in a community tank.

Thanks for your reply, you have obviously kept bristle nose, will get two females and if fry survive, well, they will learn to be street smart and keep their heads down! survival of the fittest

All jokes aside I do agree with Alan. Abbreviations do my head in and are just plain confusing. For example PB babies don't get BH unlike other strains such as ABGD and LSS. Anyone understand that?
