Wink Converting chemistry

Hello all.

Soon i am planning on moving my puffer fish to my 30 gallon or maybe a 55. The main question is about going about altering the water chemistry for the fish to adapt to properly.

What is my best way to make my tank brackish and also the filter suitable for the brackish water? any info from the pro's would be sweet.

thanks!!

Yeah the filter has served the tank well with clean water and it would mean extra costs to me which i would like to avoid. i will convert some media though.

so if ive got this right...youre transfering a fish from 1 tank to another/using the water from orig' tank + the same filter which has been running in the orig' tank? if this is right theres no need to cycle, itll be just like doing a large water change

Cool thats good to hear, im not by any means an expert on bacteria or fishkeeping in that matter.

i just had the impression that the bacteria would be different between freshwater and brackish.

thanks
