Default dead fish!!!!! please help

I went to bed last night and everything looked fine and i woke up and two junville chinese algae eaters and one juvenille red zebra cichlid were dead . none of the other fish are aggressive to one another beside one of the chinese algae eater chaes one of the others one around but nothing major plus i dont think he could of killed the reb zebra juvenille. I checked the water and everything looked normal. I just finished treating for ick and non of the fish that died had gotten it. Now i just noticed that my two baller sharks are up at the surfacegasping for air non stop and some other fish are doing this also. I have an air stone in the running all the time so it not a lack of air. Whats going on guys?

do you use tap water? if so are there any rd works close to you? it may be the water has been contaminated from source? do you use dechlorinater? maybe with ick meds + dechlorinater could have been a reaction? can you get to a LFS that does RO? if so go + get enough to do a 50% WC add another airpump if poss'

If the fish are gasping at the surface it is oxygen defficiancy, also the nitrite should be zero.Did you put carbon that had been used already back into the tank as it would absorb the meds you were using and could throw back toxins into the water. What filters are you using and what is the size of tank and stocking levels.

I would try to increase the air supply to the tank,I dont have any Fluvals but I think they have a venturi return not a spraybar, try and raise the outlet so it splashes across the water surface.

i dont use tap safe etc chemicals , try all above also get a 5 gallon bottle run tap for a while , fill up then leave by radiator for 30 hours then add to tank. the chlorine , fluoride and other crap works its way out.much better than adding more crap to recyc
