Default Egg layers..

How can I stop my egg layers eating their eggs?

I'll I can think of is setting up some sort of netting/grill below so the eggs can slip through to the bottom of the tank where the fish cant get to them?

I know you can get breeding traps with the slanted edges do the eggs drop down, but cos I have a shoal it's not so easy.

Any ideas?

not sure you will stop them mate to be honest, if it was a bare bottom tank they recomend using marbles as a base for the eggs to fall between!!! see what the other guys say on this!

sorry i cant be of any more help.

get fish that guard the eggs (cichlids) LOL

in all seriousness, i think it must be darn difficult to stop egg-layers eating the eggs or the other fish eating the eggs (unless like i said there is some protection going on)

Either very heavy planted, marbles on the bottom or some sort of mesh to stop the eating the eggs.
