Default Frogs with trops..

I'm seeing a lot more frogs for sale at local LFS's.

Seems like there a lot more in demand then they were in the past.

Has anyone got any?

The frogs are interesting, but I would not recommend keeping them with most fish, because of the risk of injury to each other. They may also lose out in competition for food, because they are specialised feeders. They like to rest on plants just below the surface, and are better in shallow water. They can escape from tanks too.

Yep, they will eat fry if they can catch them: after all, fry are not that different from bugs and larvae when small.

I have 6 congo frogs with neons and galaxy rasboras, they are way too small to eat fish, you have to be careful of the xenopus toads, they grow to the size of a fist and will eat whatever they can. They do escape, i keep them a few years ago and found one under my bed.
If you want the congo ones go for it, just make sure there are no spaces for them to get out, they will get out of very small surprising places.

there are many types of fully aquatic frogs ranging in size from the size of a lge pea upto the xenopis laevis, like von said bout the size of a fist all have similar needs, slow flowing water, the smaller the frog the shallower the water, most do well at room temp, they dont like internal filters as the vibration from the filters can affect them, feeding is easy as theyll eat anything but should be fed mostly worm type foods, smalluns like bloodworms, lge like earthworms, they can be kept with fish but you have to make sure[a] they can access food,[b]the fish dont become food so make sure fish are bigger than the mouths of the type of frog,[c]the frogs themselves dont become food...the lge xenopis have big mouths + can easily take small-med size fish
