Exclamation HELP! please its urgent. guppy disease

hi, i've got an URGENT request.
i'm new to the guppy world and i've been doing alot of reading and have recently bought some guppies. i live in singapore and i bought a bag full of guppies at a market because i really felt they deserved better. i guess in total there were about 25-30 in the bag.
i bought them a large plastic aquarium, water plants, a filter and oxygen pump. the current isn't too strong an they seem very happy.

ive got two problems..
i came home today to discover that two of my guppies, (females i think ) have suddenly grown a ball of mold on their sides, it appears to be fluffy and its white. i'm really worries and i think they're going to die.
ive sperated them from the rest.

i think i need to treat all fish to prevent more from dying. is there any hope for my two fish??? i really need a fast reply

also, over the past week that ive had them, about 6 fish have died. is this due to stress? or the fact that i don't have a lamp?
i would appreciate any help i can get. i really want these fish to be healthy and happy.

i already have some fry as well, about 15 in the past 2 days, ive seperated them from the adults in a seperate tank, also with a plant, and an oxygen pump. it was rather unexpected so they don't have a filter, any tips on feeding them? or ensuring them a healthy future?

thanks in advance, i really appreciate any help.
Tanja.

did you research about tank cycling? thats way too many fish to go in a new tank, you will probably lose most of them due to new tank syndrome i'm afraid, if you look it up on the internet you can read all about the nitrogen cycle.

Guppies will interbreed with each other and the result is poor quality fish which will unfortunatley die much easier than quality stock, you need to move the fry on if they grow to prevent them breeding with each other or your exsisting adults.
The fact they were selling 30 in a bag says they are probably very inbred already.
If you want good quality livebearers you should source male and females from different places and never leave to fry to mate with siblings parents etc... harsh but the way of teh fish world i'm afraid.

i'm worried because it came so suddenly.
its 23.44pm here now, and im going to bed soon. ive got this really bad feeling that they won't make it through the night.

[

you can see she's lost all the colour on her back.
the spots are food which i gave them. i'm putting both into a larger tank for the night.
i'm going to my fish shop first thing in the morning.
keep your fingers crossed for me.
thanks so much for your advice tasha, im certain its not white spots.

that's ok, i understand. thanks for your information george. i wasn't planning on buying that many at one time. i just wanted one male and 2 or 3 females. but the first fish store i saw was the one at the market, and i really felt sorry for them. the standards for live stock at markets here isn't really that high, whether its fish, or chickens in thailand etc. but thanks for your advice anyway. im going to try and make the best of the situation now.

i just have one question, what did you mean with moving the fry on?

The moving the fry on?

this is find them a new home. It is not good to breed mother, son, father, and daughter so it would be good to find the babys a new owner/keeper!

a fishtank shoud be run for a while to build up good bacteria that can deal with the toxic waste that fish produce and we call this the cycle

i would sugest regular small waterchanges and add some salt!

i have had a quick look and this site describes about funguss
hope this helps a little for your fish!

buying and adding so many fish to your system, it was inevitable that you would have losses, dont feel bad ,they would probably all be dead by now if you had left them at the market. but now you should do as robert suggests .

First things first, treat the fungal infection in a separate tank with commercial anti-fungus treatment. something like a malachite green based product. With 30 guppies thats a lot of ammonia, so add some Ammolock to control the toxicity. Regular water changes 10-20% everyday for the next 7 days. Once you have got the tank up and running then you can worry about any fry.
