yeh, i've got a Datnioides Microlepis (Siamese Tiger Fish)

They can take a while to settle in being wild caught fish.

Mine goes quite dark during a tank move due to the stress, then soon settle's down.

My own personal experience is they can benefit from lots of hiding places, mine can be quite timid, but is still quite young (2" big).

How long have you had it and what kind of Dat is it.

Also tank size, other fish, water stats and food you are using might be useful.

EDIT: saying that i think mine is a bit timid basically due to all the bigger parrots in the tank, as he continues to settle in, i would expect him to become a lot more active. Mine has great colouring so i think its a good specimen, just a bit shy

Very common problem, they will stablise with time, just give them hiding places and as they grow (very slow) their brighten up.

Here's my old Indo and NGT
