Default New Set Up!

hi folks, ive recently aquired a breeding pair salvini, at the mo theyre in the 6x2x2 along with oscar, parrot, clown loach, tiger loach, pleco, red tail shark, and about 5-6 pairs of calico convicts...what i wanna do is set up the 6x2x2 aimed at breeding the salvini...im gonna keep the salvini[obviously] + the clown loach + the pleco...what i wanna do is add a nice shoal of differ fish but i dont know what type, they have to be big enough so they dont get munched,+ tough enough to put up with the salvini...ive thought about silver dollars but they're too skittish, swordtails, and at the mo im toying with the idea of giant danios...anyone got any suggestions for uncle tel??? cheers in advance...

Giant danios would be good, the only other fish I can think of is some of the larger rainbow fish. I'm no expert on them though so would check with someone who keeps them first.

I would suggest Rainbow Fish, but they can be a b*tch in terms of £££ and i am sure with a 6x2x2 you looking for a group of about 6-10 fish i guess (minimum)?

Rosy Barbs
Spanner Barbs

A bit smaller, but Blue Tetra's (i have some) they are mad, always on the move chasing each other, and probably big enough and fast enough to avoid the Salvini i imagine

I'd go for Silver Dollars and Giant Danios, I used swordtails with my old trio when they were small, they ended up catching and eating them
