some pieces of bog wood take longer than others to stop leaching out into the water ,take it back out ,and soak for a further 48hours,the discolouring of the water is normally not harmful, but as far as I can remember I had to do a number of water changes to get rid of it, when it happened to me. ps if you have a outside tap (and are not on a meter) put them in a bucket that you use only for fish and leave the tap on slightly this will slowly get rid of the leaching that is still happening in the bucket ,alternatively empty the bucket and refill a couple of times .

i dont think you will have problems with that selection of fish .

if the discoloured water realy bug's you then do as grandad has sugested or even try boiling it in a old saucepan.i remember soaking my bodwood for a week or more and it still coloured the tank a little. however i have bought newer pieces and they were sold as pre-soaked, probably payed extra though.

my best bits came from a hobycraft shop ,they use to sell it for flower arangements(exactly the same stuff as aquatic shop)maponi i think.
