General Tropical FishThis section of the forum is to discuss general freshwater tropical fishkeeping. Some of the most beautiful aquariums are with mixed tropicals.
Okay here the deal i had to move my 55 gal tank so i took most of the water and and reclocated the fish for a few days. I left about 3 inches of water in the bottom along with the substrate. My question is how long will that water in the bottom be okay. How long will it take it for it to become unsuitable to reuse and i will have to drain it all out of the tank. Thanks
yes i am asking if i can reuse it would just be a pain to have to drain all tha water off the gravel i can airate it how long do you think it would hold up
what ya gonna keep in the tank mate?only im thinking of the beneficial bacteria in the substrate, if it was trop ie heated then chances are theyve died off
thats kind of what i was think of to the water is at room temp at about 70 -75 degrees, i planned on putting the fish back in there i just had to move the tank for a couple days my substrate is carib sea eco complete i dunno if that will help any
