Does anyone have any experience with these plants? i have been growing them for a good year and they have multiplied stupidly. recently i let one grow to the surface and provide some dark in my tank. it has been growing well for a long time but recently the leaves have started to grow deformed.

maybe it is due to the water being to cold for it to grow well?. any clues??

Is it getting leggy? literature says this is a slow grower but i would disagree, i found some floating plants, amazon frogbit is a good one, gives enough shade to control the light and growth rate. i'm not a plant expert but i found this worked when i kept it.
