Default Yamato Shrimp & Snail Treatment Query?

Hi All

I have just been given some shrimp, at the moment they are in my quaranteen tank.

I want to put them in my main Tank however about a month ago I used some anti Snail Treatment. Although I have done a 50% water change since then I was just wondering if the tank will be ok for the little Critters.

I know they are not tolerant to Copper, which was in this treatment.

I have also had Carbon in my filters for the last few weks as well.

Any advice please?

Thanks

E

Gonna answer this one myself.

Due to lack of replies.

You can buy something called a Polyfilter that you can put in your tank & removes copper based chemicals (amongst others too) remaining from medications in your water.

Its best to cut strips off of it & place a strip in your filter.

Leave it in for a week or so.

It turns a different colour depending on which & how much of that chemical it has removed.
Keep placing strips of this in you filter until the colour of the filter shows upon inspection that the relevant chemical no longer resides in your water.

Good luck any one else with this similar problem.

Regards

E
