any one heard of aiptasia X ,its supposed to zap aiptasia and stop it from spreading ?. no 2 at the moment on marine and inverts.

dunno if thats the same as what im thinking of GD, but theres a new remedy just coming on the market that you add to water, which kills + prevents reinfestation? there was a write up on it on reefsuk a while back

I think that that is probably the one then tel , if its as good as they make out its got to be worth the money for anyone with that problem ( can you pick up that link ? I tried it once and got through but have tried it several times since and failed ..

Also never heard of it nor know anyone who uses it so can't help there. Never had any probs with aiptasia. Had a few but the peppermint shrimps devoured them or injected them with boiling water. Would perhaps have a look at it if it kills them Manjano Anemonies

plucked six of them off a bunch of calerpa, I had put in the sump  , been about a month, no sign of any more,  but always nice to have some options .

Oooo!, Could of been disaterous! The little nano tank I have with a pair of clowns in had one huge aiptasia on a rock, it must of been around 3" tall, biggest I've ever seen was stupidly left in there and within a week it had produced about 20 or 30 tiny little ones all over the glass and rocks...EVERYWHERE! So that quickly booked itself in for an innoculation of boiling water! Just scraped all the little ones off and now aiptasia free.
....Just bloody Manjano Anemonies everywhere
Wouldnt use any chemicals unless it was nessicery TBH.
