i cant have a sump unfortunately Tel...the weight would be too much, as we are in an upstairs flat and only have wooden floors lol...so i really dont want to push it weight wise....i will get a sump once we have moved in the next year or so (fingers crossed) but until then its an in tank skimmer i`m afraid...cant have a hang on one either with our kids lol...the place would end up flooded lol....

deltec be a good idea me old chap you would not need to have a big sump u could have a 18 inch sump just to use for skimmer etc not alot wieght there only need a big sump if ya useing it for filteration with live rock etc so go with small sump all water gotta pass through so will be skimed

Take a look at the Deltec 600mce this is a hang on skimmer that is good with small gaps check the dimensions though to make sure it will fit another option would be 2 mce300.

There aren't any internal skimmer on the market that are up to the job I'm afraid unless you add multiple internal nano skimmers.

A hang on Deltec is your best bet take a look at them get the dimensions and hopefully you will be able to accomdate one of these if not seriously explore moving your tank an inch or 2 further from the wall.
