Default (Blind) Pink Tailed Trigger

Hi to one and all, To all those who read the thread concerning my blind Trigger, I'm afraid I had to use euthanasia last night as he had stopped eating completly and had got very thin and weak he was getting around slowly but was covered in scares where he was bumping into things. Last night he bumped into one of the power heads and knocked the grill of and had his mouth sucked into the void. Which caused a lot of damage. So rather than let him suffer and the chance of the others picking on him we followed the advice given in the General Tropical fish section on the 12/5/ 2008 concerning euthanasia.
IT's the first time i've had to do this and although it was upsetting watching him pass away he went quickly and peacfully. So thanks to Fry lover for the thread and to everyone else who had an input. And thanks to Grandad for his concern in the early stages.
He was a beutiful fih and will be sadly missed.

sorry to hear the bad news sidtom, but as he had become so ill I know you have done the right thing . you gave him every chance, its such a shame he did not respond , in the beggining when you said he had started eating, I thought you had a real chance of saving him , well done for trying . im really sorry for you

Its tough but you did the best thing!
the clove oil is not expencive and if we can get more people to keep some in their fish medication box then all the better.
Its threads like this that spread the word and educate others.

thanks for sharing with us

Regards Robert.
