Default Second pipe within the weir pipe

Can anyone advise me if by placing a second pipe within the weir pipe it would slow the return down. I dont want to achieve this its just I heard it makes the weir quieter. My weir pipe is 32mm and I was thinking of placing a 22mm within it.

Comments welcome.

Just use a lentgh of air pipe, slowly lowering it into the pipe until the noise stops, it works a treat.

Hi

Thanks for the reply. Can you define air pipe. Do u mean a small 6mm tube? I tried this and yes it helped but really only because it was leaning on the side of the weir pipe., and it was not all that much better just a little.
