Default Bad bad bad News

I stayed at a mates last night. Came home just now (5.30am) and turns out I forgot my door key. So had to go around the back way into the garden etc.

Noticed the pump wasn't working so took a look, lots of the fish gasping for air but seemed on the better side of in trouble.

All but one who was upside down, my sturgeon (my prized possession!)

He wasn't dead, but upside down and struggling for breath.

I haven't been able to get the pump working yet. But luckily had a spare 4000 LPH return pump that I picked up when I had my 6fter.

Got that rigged up and running, and the rest of the fish seem to have perked up. Had to handle the sturgeon a bit, but he's upright now. But I think it's still very much touch and go with them, especially him.

Never ever EVER have I been so glad I forgot my door key.

Had I of gone through my front door and gone to straight to bed. God only know's how much worse this situation could have been.

I'll post up this sometime this afternoon, hopefully with good news

Oh no! At least you got to them on time.
Hope all the fish are OK. If it was just lack of oxygen and the water quality was not too bad, they should recover soon.

Tank, Fry, Lucia thanks.

Ok the good news is, I got the pump running again and none of the fish are dead. they seem ok, but not gonna get too happy just yet, give it a day or so for any sort of shock to wear off.

But yeah could have been a lot worse, so today I'm a very happy guy

Ah the pump is ok, I think the fault was with electrics in the garden.

I'm looking to keep that pump in use. But also have a small one working as a secondary, just incase of emergencies.

Can't have a repeat of this morning, I was almost physically sick when I saw the sturgeon looking worse for wear.

I managed to get an electric shock while pissing about out their in the rain. But it was well worth it if all of them are fine
