Default Fancy Goldfish Gallery

Here are some of my favourite fancy goldfish pictures - amazing fish. Some people dislike fancy goldfish - I think they are amazing (very difficult to get good ones in the UK).

Calico Lionhead

Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Ranchu

Red Cap Lionhead

Triple Colour Oranda

Red Lionhead

Calico Ranchu

I have a group of the broadtail moors, they are stunning. You could call them veiltail moors, but the hobby when moors call them broadtail instead.

I also have some fantastic calico veiltails, and some nice ranchu. But the fish I am looking for most of all are calico ranchu or calico lionheads (lionheads tend to have a straighter back, ranchu have more curved backs).

you ever had any fancy goldfish breed / lay eggs Yanton?

I cant they are my cup of tea, but i used to say that about Blood Parrots and now i have 8 of them and have bought a 5x2x2 partly because of them!

My fave pic is the Black and White with Red Cap.

The Sakura (Cherry Blossom) Ranchu look like a couple of grumpy old gits, lol

Its all about taste eh?

They often have a chase around the tank and scatter eggs, but i have no intention of having a breeding programme as i do not have outdoor ponds, just a few large aquariums. I just keep them for the joy of it. my veiltails are gorgeous fish.

not quite as gorgeous as my avatar though ...

I really don't like those fish, don't think it's right breeding fish to have lumps and bumps on their head etc. But each to their own.
