Who told you that?

Complete nonsense!

all koi, ghost koi, mirror koi are carp.

Carp is a single species Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus 1758

Problems only arise if you place a 3cm koi in with a 2 foot koi, it will eat it for breakfast

The only problem I can see with mixing them is that ghost koi often grow much bigger than other koi, and certainly much bigger than goldfish. This is only a problem if they compete for food and the small ones miss out, or as D.R. says, if the size difference is big enough that they can eat each other.

The food competition problem can be minimised by feeding a mixture of different sized pellets, and scattering the food over a wide area to avoid a few fish hoovering it up before the others can get to it.

Default Ghost koi advice

Ive had both Koi and ghost koi and some goldfish in the same pond for a number of years and ive never had a problem. They were all in a smaller pond before the new one was built and lived happily together.
As naiad says when you feed them spread it around the pond.
