Question Help with Goldfish

Please can someone advise me...my two goldfish have always been together and seemed quite happy, however today the smaller of the two seems to be chasing and butting the other and knocking it around...is this normal behaviour or do I need to seperate them?
Thanks Starfish

how big are they and do they have white spots over their gill plate?

It could simply be the time when " LOVE IS IN THE AIR!" ( well water)

As long as they don't cause any dammage then just keep your eye on them.

watching them closley you will see when they spawn. if its not this then come back and say so and have another think about it .

good luck
Robert

They are about 7" and 5" long excluding tailsl and Yes they have white spots on their gill plate,
How long before I would see them spawn?..... (and what am I looking for??:confused)..... but as you suggested I'll keep an eye on them.
Will be back in touch if anything happens
Thanks again

The male bumps the female to encourage her to lay her eggs, sometimes the females can get a bit battered, especialy if there is more than one male .
