Some basic info : The original pond was 300 gallons and was basicaly a goldie pond, when I had the chance of obtaining some koi, the pond went through a lot of changes from 300 gallons to 1,850 gallons it has two levels , one 2'6" deep and the main part now 4' deep.
The filtration was updated some 8 weeks ago , from a 4 bay filter with submersible pump, ( moved to the front of the pond and still running in order to give the new system time to cycle) to an Eazypod with air , as I did not have a bottom drain I also installed a Retro bottom drain at the same time as the new filter. This is pumped through a Sequence 8000 and then through a 75 watt kockney koi UV . The water fall is still runing on a submersible, but only turned on when we are here. There are two air pumps providing oxygen to the pond, one to the retro, and the other to 4 air stones.
The pond is lit by two seperate lighting systems, 3 par 38 spotlights on the pagoda, and 4 low voltage rock lights around the seating area.
Ok I must admit I have far two many Koi in the pond , I am trying to rectify that problem and am in the process of moving a few of them on. , they are all healthy, but that is down to the the extra work that is put in to keep the pond water parameters level. Anyone that thinks having a pond is easy work needs to have a re-think

As to the size of my fish, if you look at the metalic koi to the right of the Sanke in the middle, he is around the 8" mark And yes most of my fish have names . As to the duck I have no idea what type he is
