Default how many discus??

Hello, can anyone recomend how many discus would you allow in a 200l tank, the tank is taller than it is in length. (lenght 2 ft,width 2ft and height is just shy of 3ft).
I want the fish to grow to full adult size, so I thought about four?
I thought Id find out what you guys think.
Thanks

Discus can grow pretty big so to be honest in a tank that size i personally would only keep a pair, you could start with 4 and see how they get on.

Hello,I make a tank that size to hold 320 litres or 75 gallons ish,if you want to keep discus a rectangular tank would be better in my opinion however a tank of that size would hold six adults, however you may have problems with fighting when they reach breeding age,to start off with I assume you will be buying small fish,to grow on if this is the case I would buy ten 2 inch fish, and then reduce them as time goes on,one thing a lot of people dont realise is larger groups do much better than small shoals,so if you can afford to buy more than ten do so,feed them well and water change often, then pick out the best and sell the rest.

adding to Rays reply growing discus on to adult size takes alot of hard work with waterchanges after every feed.
Keep us updated on how you get on as there are only a couple of us on here that keep Discus.
