I have ordered from Chens discus and he is bringing them to scotland for me to meet him and bring them home. I am so much more comfortable with this arrangement than them being couriered.

I have ordered the following from them,

Blue Diamond 4½” 3½-4”
Pigeon Blood 3½-4” 3-3½”
Red Melon 3-3½” 2½-3”
Pigeon Snakeskin 4-4½” 3½-4”
Chequerboard Pig 3½-4” 3-3½”

What do you think of the choice for my first five discus?

They arrive on Saturday the fifth of April, they are coming from London to Edinburgh but i have confidence in the breeder i have placed the order with.

I am just so excited, because i have been putting it off for a while, as i wanted better filtration and to settle the existing fish first.

Neil do you have a Quarantine tank for your new fish in case of any Probs. it allways pays to Quarantine any new fish as they are not cheap and any cross over of paracites or bacterias is not welcome.

Im afraid i dont have quarantine tanks. However the fish are said to be quarantined before they leave the shop.

I think i am just going to have to take a risk here and see how it goes. Your right though, its not cheap!!

To be honest its all getting quite scary again!

- Fully quarantined for a minimum of four weeks, so you dont have to quarantine them;
- Acclimitizing fish to adapt to local water parameters;
- Worming of fish;
- Proper conditioning of fish to feed various discus food (tetraprima/beefheart etc.);
- Guaranteed live fish;
- Very high quality Grade ‘A’ fish;
- atleast 25 different strains of all sizes available at all times;
- Personal delivery of fish to avoid stress;
- No chemical or medications used;
- Actual pictures of fish can be sent before ordering

Thats what the place is offering with all Discus, so i am hoping i wont need to worry about problems. Fingers crossed!!!!!
