Hello Rob,yes they are on the landing,there are two filters in there.An old biolife filled with alfagrog and coarse sponge on top and the Fluval with a spraybar pushed into the outlet to spray onto the water surface,with the amount of fish/food in there I clean all the sponges daily in tank water.
