Does anybody have or know were i can buy some metronidazole to treat my discus with? |

To my knowledge it isn't available in the UK. Hexamita has metrodizonole as a key ingredient.
I desperately needed it for my Tropheus, I lost all 20 over a 3 week period - absolutely gutted! |

Sorry forgot to mention that some vets can source it on prescription. |

You can get it from a doctor or a vet on prescription. Either 200mg or 400mg. I used it for my green terror and it worked quite well, metronidazole is an antibiotic, depending on how many you need i have some left. |

Metronidazole (Flagyl)is often prescibed to us humans as a broad spectrum antibiotic, wonder if your GP can help? |

Daniel, get yourself some huey hung super killer, bacteria killer and general killer. Ive used it on two occasions now with great success. |

I tried to get some of this for my discus from my vet but he did not know what i was talking about nor did he know where to get it so i'd phone a vet about it before making the trip to a surgery. I'd also recommend huey hung, worked fab on my discus after giving up on metronidazole |
