have you looked up 'ich' on the google search? you should be able to find plenty of pictures that will identify it. without a picture for us we are even more in the dark than you are

it looks like dandruff on your fish. thre are many copper based cures available from your local retailer.

It could also be velvet it looks very similar to whitespot except the spots are smaller and are more yellow in appearance find a treatment that will treat both that should do the trick.
