Strange little worms in tank |

Anyone know what type of worms might have taken residence in one of my tanks. There about 1 cm long and very thin almost like a piece of cotton. There body width doubles towards the head.
Are they going to be a problem for my fish or just be food. Thought they might be tapeworm but unsure. |

definately not tapeworm, but probably an organism brought in maybe as eggs on a plant? |

Been looking on the web, ever heard of planaria, apparantly uneaten food cultures them. Which could be possible as they were in a betta tank which was a bit mucky. |

could well be, try and use them as a fish food, if the fish dont take them live they'll probably die off in time through lack of food. |

nope they sound too big to be planaria
are they in the water or on the glass or both? at the thicker end do they have tiny feelers? |

Sounds like anchor worm, i spotted a tiny orgasm like what you described in my tank and within 3 or so days all my fish had anchor worm. Luckily they have all survived after treating it. |
