07-02-2006 23:47 by Oscar	One of my Tiger Barbs has got a red like sore onits dorsal fin, it doesn't look like a growth or parasite. It looks like it has been cut, I will try and get a pic to post tomorrow.
08-02-2006 12:06 by Danny Boy	hi oscar im replying purely because no one else has and that can be frustrating. do you have many barbs? theres a good chance this one has been nipped, this is the norm between barbs and in fact keeps aggression towards other fish lower. have you looked on google for a fish illness site? if not i could probably have a look for you.... ... in fact i will. link on the way
08-02-2006 12:10 by Danny Boy	check out number 7 does this fit the criteria? http://www.tropicalfishcentre.co.uk/Diseases1.htm im almost certain that if it is bacterial then there will be a treatment at your local fish shop for it. but i can tell you that i would suspect bad water conditions are the actual cause (best to find a cause than a remedy) can i ask what your routine is for tnk maintenance? are you changing water once a month etc? what percentage of water do you cheange each time? have you clean your filter within the last 4 months? this type of info is always useful for better results
