me again can anyone help with this problem i brought a fish and found it had dropsey,i got rid of it but now i find one fish with it so i get rid of it then afew days later i find another,is their a cure or will i keep losing the lot.HELP

faith again this is related to water conditions tell me about the tank. have you even cycled it? |

hi fg,dropsy is 99% fatal ya could try internal bacteria treatment[it worked for an aquatic frog+some goldfish i had]the one i used was "INTERPET No9" if ya have a quarantine tank take out all obvious affected fish with some of the tank water add the treatment but use x1.5 times the amount recommended+make sure ya got good airation repeat after 7-10 days also add treatment to origional tank + do a 50% water change if ya see no improvement after 14 days id chuck out all infected fish + feed em to the neighbours cats!hope this helps now some one will tell ya im completely wrong but hey it worked for me! |

i have done a load of water tests they are ok except for the nitrite test that was a bit high

faith you really do need to understand the tanks cycle to keep fish in good health. you have lots to learn but its all on the net and readable within about 15 mins |
