Bright lighting metal halides.
Water quality is also vital with anemonies and a stable environment I would go down the eco system method with live rock in the main tank and a miracle mud filter. |

Hi Luke, if you're tank has only been setup for 2 months you might want to wait a while before your first nem. |

Just to throw a big big spanner in the works, I own the same anenome. My lighting is rubbish in fact I am just saving up for some new T8's. Literally, one actinic, 1 daylight. My little anenome is thriving and another little fly in the ointment.......I have two percula clowns hosting in it!!!!!
Maybe I am an odball!! |

Well this is controversial isn't it lol.
Anemones under t8's, how long has it been there?
Sure is an anemone?
A note on clownfish hosting, clownfish may host in a number of things, i have seen then in mushroom corals, xenia, eyuphilla, and even trying out a plastic one lol. There stupid, they can get freeked out by lights going on and off, and dive stright into the mouth of the anemone lol.
Hope this helps and by the way laura i think you should update to at least 2 t5s. |

Hey there!
I am positive it is an anenome lol. I also have another one in the tank. They have both been there for about 8 months and are doing brilliantly. When I win the lottery I will have to upgrade my dated system. But for now it seems to be doing well |

Depth is the key to lighting requirements really T8's generally don't give the necessary light penetration in deep tanks those that are keeping these under T8's I would be interested to know all of your water parameters as well as the number of T8's and the depth below the surface that the nems are residing in the husbandary of nems is still relatively unknown believe it or not. Also do you feed them and if so what? |

the nem is sitting 2 foot under the lights there is only 2 tubes white & blue ,but i have just changed them yeterday for 2 t6 bulbs which are supposed to be 40% brighter than the t8 bulbs .but i do hand feed the nem once a week with frozen prawns |
