Does anyone out there know if it is ok to use a galvanised filter on a Koi pond or is there a danger of contaminating the water. If so can it be painted with G4 clear treatment first.

To use on a Koi Pond, it really needs to be 316 grade stainless steel (though don't aks me what this is or how to check it )

G4 should be OK to seal this with as a precaution, if you can get it to stick!

if you intend building your own filter why dont you go to a plumer center and buy a plastic one like an attic tank this would save the cost of G4 witch is expensive
