Thats certainly the case in a peaceful house always let the misses think she has won its amazing how much stock you can buy for your tank without the misses noticing.
Gas and lecky £35 a month I think the lecky portion is £18 per month I'm classed as a heavy user! |

i used to pay £50 per month by standing order for the electric.. but that has just been put upto £70.. strange thing is that i have cut down the number of tanks..
i think it is an expensive hobby..
but well worth it.. |

p.s. they had something simillar for sale in lidls...afew weeks back ( much cheaper, seeing as we are discussing costing )..
i was going to get it.. but then thought whats the point? do i really need to know precisely how much electric is being used by my tanks...
i would be interested to see how many people would give up their fish.. after buying such a pointless device.. |

Never said you had to worry about how much you spend on electricity for your fish keeping, mine costs me between £20 and £25 a week. I have a key meter so I know exactly how much we spend.
We should all think about the unreplaceable resources that we are using up at an alarming rate. By turning down heaters and not having the tank lights on when you don't need to ( yes I know, certain types of set ups do have to have the lights on for a certain length of time) we can all do our bit, no matter how small, to save the resources for the future generations. |
