Posted carbon filter pads

how often should you change your filter pads all my water levels are fine just the water is not clear its got a haze to the water could this be the carbon filterpads

Generally you should get new pads monthly, but it depends more on the load - that is, the amount of fish in the aquarium.

personally i dont use carbon pads at all, i prefer to remove pollutants by more regular (20% fortnightly) water changes.

I have carbon sponge in my jewel filter system which i change monthly AND i change 20% water fortnightly. Am I over doing it?

yeah i just got told by lfs that i dont need carbon any more took it out water cleared
