06-03-2006 18:25 by Bassline	Hi all, I have some strange growths coming oput of my live rock, and I wondered if anyone could identify it> They're about 2cm long and resemble match-sticks. They start off bright white and then go crimsen when they reach full size. They started off on just one rock and have spread really quickly. I must have at least 500 ???s now. Does anyone know what these are?

08-03-2006 19:33 by Bassline	Thanks Alan, but wouldn't sponge be one mass, rather than hundredy of individual strands. Also, I have some blue sponge that is growing well in the tank, but at nowhere near the rate that this stuff is spreading.
