06-03-2006 23:04 by drummerduck	When i move mt tank this week into the new house i'm going to give the tank a good old clean!! i was thinking about washing the coral sand through... i know about not washing it with tap water and i know about the bacteria that is held in the coral sand but rinsing it with RO water must be safe?? RO with salt and minerals? Or nothing? cheers all.... DD

07-03-2006 14:37 by Alan	If its marine washing the coral sand/gravel will remove many of the beneficial inhabitants that will include many worms. With out washing you should expect the water to be cloudy for a bit but it should clear fairly quickly even in a natural set up personally I wouldn't wash the sand/gravel at all.
