hello there im probs gna buy a trigon 350 with the internal filter .. i have a FLUVAL 104 CONNCECT ON MY OTHER MARINE TANK If i connect install this in the 350 as well as the internal if there any need to mature the internal or should i jsut as the saltwater and add fish

prob best to be on the safe side and mature the other filter too, wont do any harm

The internal will need to mature but this can only happen with a biological load if the 104 is connected to the set up stock for what the 104 will be able to cope with the filter in the 350 will mature with this equally if you add live rock to the set up other biological filtration will be at best unnecessary and at worst detrimental.

would it no be easyer to just mature the internal one then add the 104 on ???

Water conditions would be more stable if the mature 104 was put straight on ypou wouyldn't need expensive maturation fluids and you wouldn't need to do a big water change to get the nitrates down before adding livestock. Equally if you are adding live rock maturation of the internal filter shouldn't be necessary as you would want to keep this non biological and equally you wouldn't really want the 104 being biologically active for long as it could cause a nitrate surge.
