Posted	Making my own stand
10-03-2006 13:25 by BradsDad	I am planning on making my own stand for a 6x2x2 marine tank. I'm not great at woodwork, so been thinking about makingit from breeze blocks. Basically a tier either end and one in the middle, that'll give me room inside for a 2 1/2 foor sump give or take a bit. Do you think it'll be enough ? The blocks are 3 newtons I'm told - does that mean they hold 3 tonnes ?

10-03-2006 13:38 by BradsDad	Thanks nige, I was also thinking of painting them with a waterproof paint to help seal them incase the evaporation sinks in a weakens them.

10-03-2006 15:50 by tony mcculloch	HERES 1 I HAVE JUST MODIFIED FOR MY 6X2X2, SEEMS TO BE OK, BUT A EASIER WAY WOULD BE TO GO TO THE SALLY ARMY AND BUY AN OLD FASHIONED SIDEBOARD AND USE THAT,DID ON MY LAST TANK AND IT WORKED A TREAT,
