Don't risk a freshwater dip it could make things worse I'm not that impressed with waterlife treatments to be honest if it is a reef tank I have had good results with oodinex made by esha. There is also an esha treatment that is good but is not reef safe.
Before trying a different treatment I would suggest filtering over an absorbtion media such as carbon but a poly filter would be better but this isn't cheap but having said that neither is a flame angel.
Make sure your water parameters are spot on to I have found marine fish more susceptible to whitespot if the ph is not stable or to low. |

Jim, there are both freshwater and saltwater species of whitespot.
so whether we keep marines or freshwater fish, we all have the problem. |

Jim son stick to what you know if you only know freshwater stick with freshies and avoid marine comments unless you have something constructive to suggest. |

Equally salt does not impact much on freshwater parasites any more they have become resistant to it at dosages that are safe with fish. |
