Now I use an electrical magnetic air compressor, a Hailea ACO-328. Consumption is 55w and it is running 12 air stones. The cost is about 7p per day, so that is £28 a year. Try this site for prices etc. http://first4fish.co.uk/products.asp?cat=16&range=18

Thanks
my grandad got 1 and something went wrong with it (not to sure as my grandad is mates with the dealer and he done a straight swap with another air pump) before something went wrong with his i bought one and it just stoped blowing air over night!
i was using it to run 8 air filters for my small tanks (guppys and mollys) and i have to go out and try to swap it for another one again!
I also have the hailea aco-308 for my koi pond. does yours seem to get realy hot?
thanks again
