just buy the water the day before you get the tank sorted, best be safe than sorry, it could go stagnant and stagnate

RO water can't go stagnant and if it did I would be changing supplier.

Providing it is in a sealed container it is a nige says.

If the water is to be used for water changes I would mix it with the salt now this will prevent it from taking up contaminants. If its for top up then keep it tightly sealed I would suggest you aerate it before use for water changes this will make sure as much CO2 is driven off before its used as possible for top up you don't need to do this.

Jim son RO water is as close to pure as you are going to get what bacteria are going to be present to make the water go stagnant and what pray tell will the bacteria feed on?
