stephen, you could keep inverts, but as for fish, they would grab all the food - as seahorses are the fussiest eaters you can imagine. sometimes they just look at the food for a few minutes before eating it.

hi my name is terry not telly, there are over 30 different species of SH and u can now get tank bred which will be longer lived and hardier than wild species which dont live very long,i dont personally think they r hard to feed, just a bit slow to react when food is around, u could keep them with mandrins but they are as difficult as SH,S

Good tank mates are:

Neon and gold strripe gobies
Mandarins and psychos' (but these are not easy fish)
Jawfish
Assessors
Yellow thumb gobies
Shrimp gobies and their shrimp.

basically it needs to be non competitive.
