Posted Altolamprologus Tank Size?

What would you consider to be a reasonable size tank for breeding Altolamprologus Calvus / Compressiseps?
I say reasonable because I don’t want to squeeze them into a minimum size but also don’t want a massive tank with 2 or 3 fish in.
I don’t know yet weather I will get a few young dish to grow to adults or go for adults in the first place. Perhaps grow some on keep the females and buy a wild caught male.
Any advice would be welcome,
Cheers John.

Once you have a breeding pair they need very little space, mine bred for years in a 20" x 10" x 10" tank. All they need is an up-turned terracotta pot with a narrow slot cut in the side.

Thanks for the replies.
I have kept calvus before in a mixed Tang tank 48x15x18 and they seam to keep to there own end of the tank, but some advice sites are saying only keep them in large tanks. I realy just wanted confirmation of what I thought,
Cheers John.
