Hello
I've noticed recently that my goldfish tends to float nose down. Not sure why. He swims fine but recently he's nose down quite a lot.
What could this be?
Thanks

if its a fantail/ oranda/ moor etc andur feedin flake i would try a sinkin pellet food as it may be takin air in when its feedin givin him swimbladder symptoms. or it could be swimbladder which cud be caused by an internal bacterial infection or it might hav knocked itsself and twisted his bladder giving him the problem!!! |

My gold fish is nose up and upside down. he is having a swim bladder issue. I have been told to try frozen food like frozed brine shrimp or blood worms. Maybe yours is a similar problem |

Thanks Anna
now for the stupid questions....
I take it I can get a sinkin pellet from most petshops?
A salt bath??? That's confused me - give the fish a salt bath? The fish shares the tank with a Black Moor.
Thanks

salt bath seems to be a good cure for a lot of things, what are the risks with it? how often should you dose them? |
